Both Kin Capital Partners LLP & Enterprise Investment Partners LLP, together part of the Kin ‘group’ of companies, collectively referred to as “Kin Fund Services” or “The Firm”. Kin Fund Services places a strong emphasis on protecting the interests of investors and seeks to maintain the highest levels of corporate governance. The ‘Kin’ name came from our desire to treat investors as we would our own family. As such the firm agrees with the spirit of the Financial Reporting Council’s Stewardship Code (https://www.frc.org.uk/investors/uk-stewardship-code).
The Financial Conduct Authority (“FCA”) requires any firm authorised to manage funds, which is not a venture capital firm, to disclose “the nature of its commitment” to the Code or “where it does not commit to the Code, its alternative investment strategy” (under Conduct of Business Rule 2.2.31).
The Firm provides venture capital investment services to a broad range of clients, but its Investment Management permissions are restricted to Venture Capital. As a Venture Capital Firm, as defined in the FCA Handbook, the Firm is not obliged to sign up to, or declare its position on The Stewardship Code.
